AWIS forecasts are tailored to meet the planning needs of all pilots, whether they be fixed wing, microlight, helicopter, glider, balloonist, paraglider or anyone else.. AWIS splits the UK into 4 and gives forecasts for each; issued around 1pm each day. Forecasts are available to view online, or you can have them emailed directly to you. Why donate? 1. Unlike most weather sites, our forecasts are produced by humans. They look at the charts, assess the weather, and then issue a prediction for the coming days based on this information. 2. AWIS forecasts let all pilots know at-a-glance whether conditions will be suitable forflying activities, whether fixed wing, rotor, balloon, microlight, glider or model aircraft. 3. You can plan your flying activities days in advance, with a forecast extending as far as 7 days. 4. Wasted journeys can be avoided and that precious spare time saved to gain "brownie" points for the next flying slot! ONLY DONATE FOR FORECASTS YOU HAVE USED. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW AWIS AT ANYTIME AND THERE MAY BE DAYS WHEN FORECASTS ARE NOT ISSUED. How much & how do I donate Just click on the button opposite and you'll be able to donate straight away. As to how much to donate, well that's up to you, but here's a guide: Use AWIS once a month, donate £1 a month Use AWIS once a week, donate £2 a month Use AWIS >once a week, donate £5 a month Use AWIS daily, donate £10 a month Spreading the word Please print out the forecasts and display them wherever you fly, encourage your friends, clubs and flying schools to use the forecasts and display them on notice boards etc... The more people that use the forecasts, the less you'll have to donate. This is a unique service of benefit to all pilots, you can do your bit to ensure its success. |
