Periods of thundery rain edging northwards through Thursday morning. These will be affecting mainly the south of England and some of the rain could be heavy at times. There is a chance is that the rain may reach as far north as Aberystwyth to Norwich, but it is more likely that a line from Cardiff to Ipswich will be the most northerly extent of the rain through the morning. Further north it will be drier and brighter, the best of the sunshine in the west and low cloud affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and England. This afternoon sees the rain into the southern half of Wales and southern England. Again there could be a few heavy bursts in places. fair with sunny spells for northwest England and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, while low cloud and mist affects eastern Scotland and northeastern coasts of England. Highs at 19C in western Scotland, but a much cooler 15C in southern England.

A damp night over the south of England and Wales. Some heavy bursts of rain in places, most of the rain showery in nature. It could be quite a murky night in the south too. Over northern and eastern Scotland there will be some cloud and spots of rain. For the rest of the country there will be clear skies in places with dry weather everywhere. Lows near 9C over southern England, but the risk of a frost over the far north of England and southern Scotland with lows here at -1C.
