Tutored by Simon Keeling,
a BBC television weather
presenter with over
20 years broadcast
experience (including BBC, GMTV and ITV) of presenting both television and radio bulletins, as well as training weather presenters of the future. Click the video above to see Simon presenting a forecast on BBC Midlands Today.

 

You will learn how to be confident and knowledgeable when presenting the weather forecast. You’ll practice in front of camera and will have a go at presenting a timed television and radio bulletin.

· Who is it for?
Suitable for anyone who wants to become a television or radio weather presenter.

· Tutor by a BBC Weather Presenter
Simon Keeling tutors the course and will give tips on how to get into broadcasting and improve your presenting skills.

· What topics are covered?. An introduction to weather forecasting, the basics of fronts and pressure.
Presenting the forecast on radio on television, what to expect, presenting to timing.
Practical presenting, tips on improving your skills and have a go at presenting a TV or radio forecast.

· What time does the course start?
The course is a full day and runs from 9.30am to approximately 4.00pm.

· Where is it held?
The location is to be confirmed, but it is expected to be held at the television studios of the City of Wolverhampton College, Paget Road, Wolverhampton.

· What does the course include?
Lectures, coffee, and lunch are all included.
