Aviation Courses

Aviation courses are for anyone with an interest in flying. Past delegates have included pilots just starting to fly, private pilots with over 3000hrs experience, microlighters, gliders and hot air balloonists.

The objective of the courses is to make the weather more understandable, and to assist in helping to create ones own weather forecasts by reading charts, looking at clouds, understanding winds and the workings of the weather.

I recommend you take Part 1 first as this gives a grounding in meteorology (above that of the PPL syllabus). Part 2 then expands on this knowledge and delves deeper into using upper atmosphere information using skew-t and tephigrams as well as conducting ’live’ route forecasting.

If you’d like a deeper understanding of how to use the charts that are available nowadays on the internet, then why not come to “Using & Understanding Internet Weather”?
