>> Weatherweb Reporters << Forecast for Cambridge Folk Festival ![]() ![]() Rain or shine? By Emily Hall in Cambridge 11:10hrs 27/07/2012 Temperature: 20C Weather: Hazy cloud It looks as though the Cambridge Folk Festival has come at a perfect break in the weather, gloriously blue skies at the start of the week means that this weekend I am swapping my wellies for suncream! Yesterday was a scorcher with not a cloud in the sky and temperatures reaching the high twenties. Today is going to be much cloudier with a possible shower in the afternoon with a cold front passing over, although this seems to be weakening so it should be remaining mostly dry. Temperatures will be cooler with a likely high of 23 or 24C and the presence of clouds through the evening should keep temperatures in the low teens. Saturday should see sunshine again through the morning and winds remaining light although there may be the odd shower later in the day. Temperatures will not be climbing as high as they have been in the cooler air behind the front, likely to hit around the 20C mark by mid-afternoon. Saturday evening and through into Sunday morning is looking to be fine, clear and dry although showers are expected Sunday afternoon with a possible heavy thundery outbursts, making it feel a little cooler. Hopefully by this point the ground will have dried up enough that the festival does not become a mud bath as it was previously . . . The rain should not last too long though with Monday morning staying dry for people packing up and heading home. ![]() >> Comments on this story << >> Add your comments below << |
