Bold with cold from ECMWF
Blow from the low from the GFS

By Simon Keeling in Wombourne, Staffs 23:45hrs  18/1/2012
Temperature: 7.0C    Weather: Broken cloud

Okay, so the headline is a rubbish rhyme, but the main point I want to make is that the models at 240hr are in some disagreement.

These are based on the Wednesday 12Z run of the models, and we are back in the land of disagreements again.

However this time around I'm leaning into the ECMWF idea of pressure building and an easterly becoming established. Well, I don't think it will be an easterly, probably more like a southeasterly, but nonetheless, colder is probably bolder at this stage.

Interesting that the GFS clusters had a high on there too, in almost the same position with a 35% confidence level (the next nearerst cluster at 25%), see the clusters at Weatheronline.co.uk.
