>> Simon's Weather Musings << An interesting take on rising temps ![]() Certainly worth a look By Simon Keeling in Wombourne, Staffs 13:05hrs 18/6/12 Temperature: x Weather: Sunny spells This from Steven Goddard's site...some very interesting charts. I describe myself as a 'health skeptic' as far as human induced global warming is concerned. There are so many additional; factors and cycles which affect our weather that I do not believe that we can possible, accurately model future conditions and that we should certainly not be making decisions which have a huge impact on our society based on that science. That's not to say reducing pollution and improving air quality is a bad thing, or to deny that temperatures rose sharply at the end of the 20th century. One of the places to look for questions within AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) science is the data used in the construction of models. Here is an example of such. It shows a change in the running mean of the El Nino/La Nina oscillation (collectively ENSO) when satellite data is added. The combining of the two types of data makes a direct comparisiion from year to year difficult to achieve, and this is only one set of data which displays the difficulty of attempting such a feat.
