About the Sailing Weather Information Services

SWIS has been created to provide sailors with a comprehensive, easy to understand weather forecast.

As part of Weather Consultancy Services Ltd and Weatherweb.net SWIS is the creation of Founder and Managing Director Dr. Simon Keeling.

Simon is somewhat of a weather entrepeneur. He is well known within sailing circles for establishing Weather School which offers day weather courses to sailors helping them to make the best use of forecasts and the information around them. He has written several books and DVD on sailing weather and contibutes to Yachting Monthly and YBW.com

Simon was also GMTV's weatherman for several years, a BBC on-screen forecaster and is also a lecturer in meteorology at the University of Birmingham.

The forecasting team at SWIS have many years of experience in providing weather forecasts to the sailing community. It's our mission to give you better forecasts which you can actually use to enhance you sailing days, whether that's for leisure, commercial or racing purposes.
